About CSMAFPI & NDA Vision 60

Founded by retired officers and seasoned educators, CSMAFPI exists for one purpose: to turn ambitious young men and women from Central India into officers of the Indian Armed Forces.

Our story

Built to close the gap between ambition and selection

Many deserving candidates miss the forces, not for lack of talent but for lack of the right guidance.

Defence aspirants are often unsure how to prepare for the competitive examination and how to face the Services Selection Board. The material available online and offline is not enough on its own. Plenty of coaching centres in India guide students for IIT JEE, but very few channel them into the National Defence Academy and the 10+2 Technical Entry Scheme. Those that do often get students through the written test and then stop, because they focus only on academics and rarely on the SSB.

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Armed Forces Preparatory Institute was set up to close that gap. We blend the two essentials, preparation for the UPSC written test and systematic grooming for the SSB interview, over two years, alongside the student’s 11th and 12th education.

NDA Vision 60 is the brand name of our Nagpur institute and its Day Scholar programme. Our residential cadets train at the Butibori campus, presented on csmafpi.org.

In our culture, education has always mattered, for girls as much as for boys. At this institute it does not stop at the classroom door. It carries on at the playground, on the drill square and in the debates, quizzes and camps that fill the rest of the week.

Good teaching builds discipline, knowledge and self-belief. Every day, we work to make each cadet a little better than the day before, and to raise young people who can take a decision on their own and stand by it, in uniform or out of it.

Good luck. Jai Hind!

Our pledge

No coronation is held, no ceremony performed, to declare the lion king of the jungle. He becomes king by his own qualities and his own valour.

नाभिषेको न संस्कारः सिंहस्य क्रियते वने।
विक्रमार्जितसत्त्वस्य स्वयमेव मृगेन्द्रता॥

Nābhiṣeko na saṃskāraḥ siṃhasya kriyate vane · vikramārjita-sattvasya svayameva mṛgendratā

This verse is the CSMAFPI pledge. Rank is not handed to anyone. It is earned, every day, through effort and courage.

The AFPI prayer, recited at every morning assembly.
