Named after the great Maratha warrior-king and run by officers who have led troops in the field, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Armed Forces Preparatory Institute (CSMAFPI), known as NDA Vision 60, exists for one mission: to put more young men and women from Central India through the gates of the National Defence Academy.
Every year, thousands of capable students dream of the uniform and fall short, not for lack of talent but for lack of direction. Some clear the written exam and stumble at the Services Selection Board. Others never learn how to prepare at all. We close that gap by training the whole candidate: the boards, the UPSC paper, the five-day SSB, and the physical and mental strength an officer carries for life.
Our day scholar courses bring that training home. Same mentors, same syllabus, same discipline as our residential cadets. The main difference: you return to your family every evening.

Harshal came to CSMAFPI after Class 10 from Narayana Vidyalaya, Nagpur. He cleared the NDA written exam even before his Class 12 boards, was recommended for the Army by 17 SSB Bengaluru, and joined the 148th course at Khadakwasla. Four years later, with his parents beside him, he pinned on his stars as a Lieutenant.

Our residential NDA programme runs at the Butibori campus, about 45 km from Nagpur on Wardha Road: 35 acres of green land with hills, forest, a river and lakes, built for military-style training. It has its own website with full details and registration.
NDA Vision 60 runs five day scholar courses at its Sevasadan branch in Nagpur. The flagship is the two-year NDA Foundation Course for boys and girls who have passed Class 10: 11th and 12th Pure Science with NDA written-exam coaching, SSB interview training and physical fitness, while students live at home. There are also a one-year NDA Preparation Course, a four-month NDA Crash Course, a four-month CDS, AFCAT & CAPF course and a one-month SSB Interview Preparation Course. Compare the courses.
Day scholars learn from the same faculty and mentors and follow the same discipline as residential cadets. The main difference is where students live, and residential cadets also get daily outdoor training on campus. Residential cadets live at the Butibori campus; details are on csmafpi.org.
CSMAFPI teaches Classes 11 and 12 in the Pure Science stream through associated CBSE and Maharashtra State Board schools (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English, and Computer Science or Physical Education).
